New stuff Coming!

•March 9, 2009 • 1 Comment

Hey guys, there will be new stuff coming in the coming days to hold you guys over.

Here is a list of coming stuff that we will be releasing.

  • 8-Bit Music Room: We’ve been converting many midi songs and turning them into 8-bit songs. Some of these can already be heard on our youtube channel, but in the coming days, you will be able to listen and download these songs from our site!
  • Stick Fantasy RPG teasers: There will be several videos about it, mainly teasers. There will be a special commercial made that will announce the game being released. Keep your eyes ready!
  • Dstcoyote Rants – Nintendo/ Casual Gaming: Wait, isn’t Zelda a Nintendo thing? well yes, but there are other reasons why we think Nintendo is dropping the ball and turning into something that hardcore game fans despise, and that is becoming too casual. The rant will be availible on youtube sometime this month.

ITS HAPPENED AGAIN!!!

They did it again! The 3 minute commercial thingy that advertised about the game and Warriors of Hyrule has had its audio blocked because of me using Dark Chest of Wonders by Nightwish.

THAT COMMERCIAL BARELY GETS ANY VIEWS, let alone it’s really only been seen by those who follow us, so I find it hard to believe that a big time company wants to shut down a video that got only 204 views total. This is totally an attack by some idiot loser who thinks he has the right to do this, all because of the ability to be anonymous while filing a claim.

Well, if they did it again to a thing that simply ADVERTISES us, then one day all the rest of our videos will be taken off eventually because many of them have music under Warner, most notably Metallica.

Sure, our videos will always be hosted here, but its the wide audience I’m worried about. Slowly, but surely, youtube is turning into backyardwrestling-cellphone-emoslutvideos.com

HAHA! WE WIN!

Remember how there was a copyright claim from Warner over Episode Five having Iron Maiden? Well it turns out that Iron Maiden is NOT released under  Warner, and I disputed the claim due to this information, and the claim has been removed!

TAKE THAT COPYRIGHT IDIOTS!!!!

Either Warner Music Group was abusing their power over a song they don’t actually own, or some idiot was trying to screw with me. Either way, I still hate WMG for ruining youtube and being complete babies over people being creative. If anyone knows the person who did a fake copyright claim on my video, please kill him for me!

VICTORY IS OURS!!!

Slight url name change

•February 15, 2009 • Leave a Comment

From this moment on, the site url zeldavalley.net will forever be known as zelda-valley.com.

The old domain name was taken away after I forgot to renew.

Please help the search engines get to the new address and leave the old one (which has been taken over by one of those lame advertisement search pages) out.

That is all, stay tuned for much more features on the way!

Legend of Zelda – Warriors of Hyrule PART 1 is here!

•January 8, 2009 • 3 Comments

Zelda Valley is back with a new video!

Wait, what about all the hype and such?

I’m not going to do what I did for Twin Links, which was make a big buildup of it, in the end the result was not what I wanted. All that time was spent building up to a finished product that fell short with below average voice acting, poor sound consistency, very slow pacing, and humor simply feeling like an afterthought. Okay, lets skip the buildup that Twin Links was like and just cut to the chase. After such a long hard process, obstructed by computer issues, issues on the game (which is coming), and plenty of time away from working on this video, Part 1 of Warriors of Hyrule is out!

I won’t praise this video as a masterpiece, but what I will say is this:

  • Warriors of Hyrule has a very deep storyline that will take two more videos to complete. This first video has several twists regarding characters, one major twist is based on one of my favorite games. The whole intention was to actually make a parody of a certain video game using Zelda Characters.
  • The pacing is much better this time, and while the video follows a script and a story, the way it’s presented makes it very funny due to so many random jokes. There is a little cursing, but most if not all of it is bleeped out. One curse word is visible using an upside down calculator gag.
  • The main characters from TL were given a much needed face lift and {their faces} look much better in this video. The new characters were drawn with more detail, and their appearance almost looks like they were drawn professionally.
  • The voice acting is much better this time. It’s also a lot clearer and easier to the ear, plus the viewer won’t find themselves trying to hear the character speak over the blasting music. The cool thing is, thanks to a special program we’ve bought, we can morph our voices to sound like anything. Link now has a teenage-sounding voice, which was achieved by simply raising the pitch to my own voice.

Upcoming Attractions UPDATE

•November 1, 2008 • 6 Comments

Well, let me show you something.

First, from the video, it’s Vire’s front design, originally from a pencil drawing courteously of Mario64Mario. I simply colored it up.

As for the game, well, remember the version you saw in the trailer? well, alot has changed.

The game now has:

  • A  kick ass battle system that resembles Chrono Trigger. The battles are much faster and are more challenging (an enemy can strike you more than once before you’re fully ready to attack) rather than being turn based (you attack, then the enemy attacks).
  • Better mapping – the maps have been polished thanks to my extra help with the mapping, and some places that were originally stale looking have new life!
  • 8 directional movement, including dashing!
  • Shadows – just a few cool lighting effect where Link casts a shadow almost anywhere he is standing due to surrounding light.
  • Unique Skills and attributes – in the beta version, the 4 links worked exactly the same, which was BORING! Now we have given each Link their own special talents and skills, even their own weapons.
  • Cutscenes – some use the game engine, others may use gifs that are from the Stick Fantasy videos.
  • Cameos by the creators – JMAP and I appear in the game, and we give you cool things. But you need to find us first.
  • Mini-games – there are several places in the game that contain mini-games.
  • Plenty of storyline twists – the first one is… gotchya!

Expect a video previewing this very soon. There are still a couple dungeons and several mini-places we need to complete, and there are still a few glitches we need to fix.

Back In Buisness!

•October 1, 2008 • 1 Comment

After a short week of technical difficulties, the computer problem has been fixed. The fact that I was able to do so much without calling technical support was really cool, it probably saved me hundreds of bucks to have another person do it.

it’s all back in, everything that was recovered is still there and not a file wasted! NOW GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!

An announcment to anyone listening….

•September 24, 2008 • 8 Comments

Okay, I need to make a major announcement, and it aint good.

First off: THE BAD NEWS - My computer got infected with a huge virus! WhY?! I was searching for a cheaper (if not free) way to get the serial (proof of purchase) number of a program for my online computer class that I’d otherwise pay over 300 bucks for. I simply do not like how I must pay that much and more for a version of a program that I already have. This class requires me to use Photoshop CS3 (Creative Suite 3), but I already have Elements, and guarantee I can do anything on Elements that can be done on CS3.

So anyway, I stumble upon a site that seems to offer a way to get such a serial number, but after ‘downloading’ what I get instead is a massive malware and trojan attack. I get notice after notice of infections that I just decide to turn the computer off. But every time I turn it back on it’s a Blue Screen of Death that says “user32.dll cannot be found.” So basically, my hard drive is fucked and my computer will not run windows (yes, I just said it, and I don’t care).

NOW THE GOOD NEWS – There is one place I’ll go to for major computer crisis help: geekstogo.com. Luckily I have two computers in my home. I went to geekstogo and saw a topic with the same exact problem, and one of the solutions was to put a Linux ISO file on a CD and make the computer boot (start) from the CD instead of the harddrive. Maybe 99 times out of 100 the CD drive didn’t read the CD, but after so much fighting, the CD finally worked, and to make a long story short, I HAVE RECOVERED ALL FILES that were from the hard drive and put it into an external drive. That means all pictures, music, and JMAP PRODUCTIONS FILES are NOT LOST!!!!

So what now? well, it’s going to be a big halt, but there won’t be too much trouble getting back from where Warriors of Hyrule was in terms of production and time.

Until I get a new computer or a new hard drive, Warriors of Hyrule is now being halted due to huge difficulties.

Metallica – Death Magnetic | The Review

Metallica Death Magnetic.jpg

I know that there are dozens of reviews on Death Magnetic on the internet even before the album was officially released. I confess that I did listen to a leaked copy thanks to youtube and limewire, however I don’t feel guity about it because as a die hard fan, I had pre-ordered the album months before. I decided to wait until after the official release and after I got my official copy of Death Magnetic and not a bunch of random mp3 files before I posted this review. I actually received an official. pre-ordered copy from Warner Bros Records four days before the release date! Cool, huh? Continue reading ‘Metallica – Death Magnetic | The Review’
